Polymer Testing Additional to your own test lab we are able to add some more testing procedures in Polymer science. Some of our mostly used techniques are: • Smoothing and cutting surfaces with a microtome or an ultramicrotome • Cryo-ultramicrotome cutting down to minus 170°C • Freezing and breaking with liquid nitrogen • Etching of the polymer matrix with microwave activated oxygen plasma especially with additives like PTFE or silicates • Sputtercoating with Gold, Platinium, Carbon, Chromium A Low Dose unit in addition with a cryostage at our TEM keeps beam-damage on a low level.
